NEW Tabor Mountain - Kids Jumps & Drops Camp

Designed for intermediate boys and girls who are looking to progress safely by learning the proper techniques for jumps and drops! If you are confident when riding blue trails, getting faster and are wanting to learn how to safely ride jumps and drops, this camp is for you! One day only this 4-hour session allows for lots of practice time, individual feed back, and will be the highlight of your riding season. Learn from professional instructors in a fun and supportive environment!

Camp Highlights:

  • Body Positioning - Focusing on balance and stability as the pillar for jumps and drops - this is essential

  • Technical Movements - Every action has an opposite RE-action!

  • Technical Features - Understanding the point of commitment when learning to ride features

  • Anatomy of a Jump & Drop - Learn the terms for the anatomy of the feature and why each is important

  • Timing & Coordination - Learn WHEN to apply the technical movements, WHY, and HOW

Intermediate Shred Camps

(Ages: 10-15)

If you have a little shredder that is starting to show a lot more passion and interest in the sport of mountain biking and want him/her to continue progressing safely and in a controlled environment; then this camp is a great option. We ride a large variety of trails and specifically pick sections of trail which your kids can practice on in order to gain the knowledge and confidence they need to continue to enjoy mountain biking and appreciating the outdoors. 

Camp Highlights:

  • Trail Etiquette and Safety - Understanding the ins and outs of our sport.

  • Trail Vision - Learn how to pick lines and understand the basics of lining up jumps, drops, and corners.

  • Cornering - Learn the basics of picking your line, judging your speed, committing to, and exiting your corner properly.

  • Basic Introduction to Jumps and Drops - Learn the basic tools you’ll need to start taking jumps and drops.

Advanced Shred Camps

(Ages: 12-17)

Our Advanced Shred Camps are designed for riders who are looking to progress their riding technique, jumping, dropping, line choice, terrain awareness and more! We structure our lesson plans for the advanced riders in a way that allows for each individual to reach his/her goals throughout the month/season and allow for safe and fun progression. Re-structured from previous years, this camp ensures more sessions, seat time, and value for our riders!

Camp Highlights:

  • Trail Etiquette and Safety - Understanding the ins and outs of our sport.

  • Speed Checking - Learning how to judge your speed for a bigger jump or drop.

  • Staying in Control - Maintaining control while airborne.

  • Adapting - Learning how to prepare yourself for a case or overshoot. Positioning your bike and body in such a way that impact is minimized.

  • Maintaining Speed - Learn the tricks and tips of how to manage speed through a jump section, by pumping, scrubbing, or coasting.

COMING SOON // Kids Pumptrack Session

(Ages: 5-7)

If you are looking to sign your little one up for a fun, energetic and exciting class, this is a great choice! Lots of games and challenges for the kids to enjoy and learn. As well as spending time focusing on creating good riding habits so the kids have a good base to build off of as they start progressing. The most fundamental and simple tips and tricks are the ones that can make the biggest differences when it comes time to hit the trails!

Camp Highlights:

  • Trail Etiquette and Safety - Understanding the ins and outs of our sport.

  • Standing Up on the Pedals - An important part of getting your young ones onto the trails is ensuring they can safely and confidently stand up on their pedals.

  • Bike Control - Learning how your bike works. Basic bike handling tips, knowing when to pedal and when to brake.

  • Games and Challenges - A large variety of games and challenges that show the effectiveness and benefits of learning good riding habits.

  • Balance Practice - Improving balance while riding in order to increase comfort and ease of slower sections.

  • Pumping - Learn to keep your speed without pedalling.

Beginner Shred Camps

Ages 7-13

A perfect choice for young boys and girls alike who are new to the sport of mountain biking. With small and manageable class sizes, your kids are sure to learn the basics of having fun being outdoors on two wheels. A great way to keep them outside and on their bike throughout the summer.

  • Fun for all - An inclusive environment for all kids to ride bikes in a supervised area and meet new friends.

  • Knowing your limits - Teaching kids the importance of knowing your limits while learning and discovering new trails.

  • Shifting & Braking - The basic workings of your bicycle. Getting kids comfortable with all of the controls of their bikes.
